Trip Two - Journeying Home :)

Lynn and Sarah are HEADING HOME! This was a quick trip, but one that was full of exciting news and reinvigorated HOPE!

 Lynn and Sarah left Mexico this morning around 9a local time. 

As of 4:15p EST, they are ON THE PLANE! <3 

A huge thank you to ICCA and the staff that helped make this all possible. HOPE is a powerful tool in healing, and Lynn comes home with a lot more of it!!

There is still a lot to be done, so please keep your thoughts and well wishes coming! Next up will be another round of chemo with the John's Hopkins doctors, followed by a more comprehensive PET scan to confirm what we learned in Mexico about her incredible progress. STAY TUNED!

Trip Two, Day TWO :)

 

Trip TWO, Day TWO! 

Lynn and Sarah were up early for Lynn to have bloodwork done first thing! They came to her room - talk about SERVICE! :) 

After bloodwork, Lynn and Sarah had some yummy breakfast at one of the hotel restaurants:

Following breakfast, Lynn and Sarah headed to Dr. Schramm's hospital for her stem cell, electrolyte, and lymphocyte infusions:

Lynn and Sarah will head back to the hotel for a short break to relax and recuperate, and then they will head over to get her CT scan and cancer vaccine that goes into one of her tumors/lymphnodes. 

CT RESULTS ARE IN <3 

The doctors shared that from their read of the CT scan... all tumors are SHRINKING. Lynn will have some more advanced imaging done back in the states in early August, which will help confirm the exciting news. This is the best news we have received since she was first diagnosed! Lynn will continue with chemotherapy back in the states, as doctors believe it supports the cancer vaccine.

FaceTiming about the GOOD NEWS! Smiles all around.

6:15p Local: Lynn and Sarah are back at the hotel and relaxing. They are going to get some yummy snacks, bask in the good news, and get some sleep before venturing home TOMORROW. Whirlwind trip, and SO worth it.

Trip TWO, Day ONE!

 TRIP TWO, DAY ONE:

Lynn and Sarah landed in San Diego around 1:30p EST! 

They will be picked up soon, and head back across the border to check-in and get some rest. More updates to come :)

3p EST: Lynn and Sarah arrived safely to the hotel. They are having some lunch and enjoying some rest!

6:00p local time: Lynn and Sarah are venturing up to check out the snacks on the top floor. They are super tired from their long day of travel, but will try to stay away until 7p local time to make sure they don't get too thrown off by the time change! 

Tomorrow's plan: Early blood work followed by infusions, and then the CT Scan and vaccine around 12p local time. 

RETURNING TO TIJUANA! :)

We are so excited for her to get home! ❤️

We are so grateful Mom was able to access this cutting edge care. We should know in a month or so if/how she is responding to the treatments. 

ONE MORE DAY!!

DAY 8!!!!!

WOW!! Today is day 8! Just a few more days until the core of treatment is done and Mom gets home.
